The assessor plans and supervises the appraisal of all real and personal property located in Wilton for assessment purposes, in accordance with the Connecticut General Statutes and the Town of Wilton Charter. The department annually prepares the Grand List, gathers and analyzes facts for court cases arising from appeals of assessments, prepares and supports Board of Assessment Appeals, and determines eligibility of elderly homeowners and renters requesting tax relief/grants.
