Environmental Affairs Department

Town Hall Annex

The Environmental Affairs Department works under the direction of the First Selectwoman and serves as the administrative personnel to the Inland Wetlands Commission, Conservation Commission, Deer Management Committee, Tree Committee and the Schenck’s Island & Merwin Meadows Committee. Its staff is responsible for administering the Inland Wetlands & Watercourse Regulations for the town, and facilitates the wetland permit application process.

Other functions of the Environmental Affairs Department include managing Wilton’s open spaces, providing guidance to other land use agencies, educating residents on natural resource issues, and organizing community events such as Community Townwide Cleanup Day and Household HazWaste Collection Day.
