Coronavirus Update- 4 New Cases & Case Data

October 16^th –Normally I provide updates on Mondays and Thursdays, but I wanted to share today’s case data as it is a reminder of why we all need to keep doing what we have been doing to limit the spread within the community.

The following are highlights from today’s CT DPH report versus yesterday’s October 15^th report. 

• Wilton: 4 new cases. 
• Statewide: 802 new cases.  2.43% of current tests performed reported positive. 
• Hospitalized Patients: Statewide, 7-net patient decrease. Fairfield County,  no net patient change.
• Deaths: Statewide, 2.  Fairfield County, none.

Detailed Case Data:

The CT Data Center reported the following for Wilton as of 8:30 p.m. October 15^th and versus the dates prior to the start of Phase 1 and Phase 2:

• 274 cases, 67 additional since June 16^th and 74 since May 19^th.
• 4,921 residents tested, 3,771 since June 16^th and 4,171 since May 19^th.  
• 7,335 tests performed, 5,883 since June 16^th .
• 42 deaths, 1 since June 16^th and 5 since May 19^th.

CT DPH reported the following for Fairfield County and Statewide as of 8:30 p.m. October 15^th:

• 21,368 cases, 4,987 additional since 6/16      62,830 cases, 17,401 additional since 6/16
• 1,427 deaths, 75 additional since 6/16           4,542 deaths, 323 additional since 6/16
• 48 hospitalized, 20 less than 6/16                   184 hospitalized, 2 less than 6/16
