Coronavirus Update- 4 New Cases & Case Data

October 16th –Normally I provide updates on Mondays and Thursdays, but I wanted to share today’s case data as it is a reminder of why we all need to keep doing what we have been doing to limit the spread within the community.

The following are highlights from today’s CT DPH report versus yesterday’s October 15th report. 

  • Wilton: 4 new cases. 
  • Statewide: 802 new cases.  2.43% of current tests performed reported positive. 
  • Hospitalized Patients: Statewide, 7-net patient decrease. Fairfield County,  no net patient change.
  • Deaths: Statewide, 2.  Fairfield County, none.

Detailed Case Data:

The CT Data Center reported the following for Wilton as of 8:30 p.m. October 15th and versus the dates prior to the start of Phase 1 and Phase 2:

  • 274 cases, 67 additional since June 16th and 74 since May 19th.
  • 4,921 residents tested, 3,771 since June 16th and 4,171 since May 19th.  
  • 7,335 tests performed, 5,883 since June 16th .
  • 42 deaths, 1 since June 16th and 5 since May 19th.

CT DPH reported the following for Fairfield County and Statewide as of 8:30 p.m. October 15th:

  • 21,368 cases, 4,987 additional since 6/16      62,830 cases, 17,401 additional since 6/16
  • 1,427 deaths, 75 additional since 6/16           4,542 deaths, 323 additional since 6/16
  • 48 hospitalized, 20 less than 6/16                   184 hospitalized, 2 less than 6/16
