With the CDC and the CT Commissioner of Public Health discouraging traditional trick-or-treating events, the Town of Wilton is offering two alternatives to allow residents to have safe Halloween fun.  Parks and Recreation is hosting “Spooktacular Nightmarish Halloween Hootenanny”, a drive-through non-traditional treat-or-treat event on Friday afternoon, October 30th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Comstock  This event is open to all residents.  Costumes and car decorating are encouraged, but not required. My office is sponsoring a Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt, beginning today through October 31st.  Information and the link to the scavenger hunt entry form are available here.

The Governor and the Department of Housing are conducting a survey of residential landlords to assist them in responding to the impact of Coronavirus on renters and landlords.

Town Hall and Town Annex employees will be working remotely on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3rd, to allow for full building use by election workers.  With absentee ballots counting expected to extend into Wednesday, Town Annex employees will also be working remotely on November 4th.  Please plan accordingly.

Thank you to the Wilton Woman’s Club for partnering with the Senior Center for yesterday’s Senior Appreciation Day Drive-thru Lunch.  Any Wilton senior is eligible to participate in future lunches.  Contact Senior Activities Coordinator Stephanie Rowe or check upcoming issues of Corridors to learn more.
