Lauren Hughes

Lauren Marcus Hughes is the Coordinator of Senior Services for the town and has been with the Department since 1991. 

She grew up in a Westchester suburb, earned a BA at Brown University, graduating with honors in 1968. She continued her studies at Columbia University School of Social Work attaining her MSW in 1970 and becoming a LMSW, licensed master’s in social work, the following year. 

After working at Bellevue Hospital and Roosevelt Hospital in NYC, Lauren married and moved to Westchester where she lived for 20 years, doing volunteer work and raising her children. In 1993, Lauren moved to Wilton, and in 1994, she became the  Coordinator of Senior Services for the Wilton Department of Social Services, and received her Connecticut License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW).  Lauren also has a private therapy practice in Ridgefield.
