Merwin Meadows is a community park offering a swimming pond, beach, pavilion/grills, bathhouse, playground, and athletic field. The pond, beach, pavilion/grills, and bathhouse are open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day; the other park areas are open year round.  Park hours are sunrise to sunset.

Seasonal Passes

Park membership is required from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day during the hours lifeguards are on duty or 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.  Pass fees for the 2023 summer season are as follows:

Starting on March 1, 2023, passes may be purchased on the Parks and Recreation Online Registration System.  Passes purchased online can either be picked up at the Parks and Recreation Department at Comstock Community Center, 180 School Road during business hours or at the Park on the weekends.  Comstock Community Center hours are: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am ‐ 4:30 pm.  Merwin Meadows Park hours for pass pick up are:   Fridays from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm or Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.  

Passes may also be purchased in-person at the Comstock Community Center, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am ‐ 4:30 pm, or by mail.  

Park Rentals

The pavilion at Merwin Meadows is available for rent.  To rent the pavilion, please visit the Parks and Recreation Online Registration System.


Schenck’s Island

Schenck’s Island is a town-owned open space located in Wilton Center. It offers a large lawn, a scenic meadow, walking trails and fishing in the Norwalk River.  Picnic tables are available for residents and non-residents to enjoy.
