The Detective Bureau is under the command of the Detective Lieutenant and is made up of two components; the detectives that perform the investigations and the School Resource Officer(s) (SRO). The detectives have specialized training in processing crime scenes critical to the functions of a contemporary police agency.  The detectives are responsible for conducting criminal investigations for a wide range of offenses, including crimes against persons, crimes against property, and crimes againts society.  The detectives are also responsible for processing pistol, raffle, and vendor permit applications as well as resident fingerprint appointments.
