Domestic Violence Liaison

dv

The mission of the Wilton Police Department’s Domestic Violence Liaison is to keep victims safe and hold offenders accountable. The Department accomplishes this through education and awareness, partnerships with local victim advocacy groups, and arrest of offenders.

The Department strives to provide fair and compassionate services to victims and other persons affected by the turmoil of family violence. In 2013, the department implemented the Lethality Assessment Screening Program (LAP). LAP represents an innovative partnership with victim advocacy groups to implement nationally recognized risk assessment strategies to better serve victims of intimate partner violence in the greatest danger.

Currently, the department has seven officers assigned as Domestic Violence Liaisons:

Deputy Chief Robert Cipolla, Sergeant Anthony Cocco, School Resource Officer Elise Ackerman, Officer Brandon Harris, Officer Melissa LaPak, Officer Sean Baranowski, and Officer Graham O'Gorman. If you have a non-emergency question regarding domestic violence, you may contact any of these officers at (203) 834-6260. If it is an emergency, please dial 911.
