Patrol Divison

The patrol division is the backbone of the Department's operations, providing first responder services to the Town of Wilton 24/7 365 days of the year.  The Patrol Division is responsible for adequate and scheduled patrol of the Town to inhibit the occurrence of crime and other disorders.  The Patrol Division is charged with the enforcement of laws and ordinances, apprehending offenders during or following the commission of a crime, and with rendering a wide range of assistance to citizens.  At full staffing the Department has 23 officers assigned among its day, evening, and midnight shifts.  The Patrol Division also consists of 5 sergeants who provide first-line supervison and 2 patrol lieutenants who serve as Patrol Division Commanders.
