Food Pantry

Operations:

The Wilton Food Pantry offers perishable and non-perishable food to eligible Wilton residents. Clients may visit the pantry on a weekly basis.   

Hours of operation will be Monday  from 12:00 pm-4:00 pm and Wednesdays 10:00-1:00 p.m. 

  • Food Pantry may only be accessed by the side entry at Comstock Community Center. 
  • Face coverings/masks and gloves or hand sanitizer use are no longer required prior to entering the food pantry. Only four people/households will be allowed into food pantry at a time.
  • Please contact the Social Services Department at (203) 834-6238 for more information during the Coronavirus emergency.

If you need more help with the rising cost of food, you may consider applying for SNAP (The State's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), if you meet the eligibility requirements through DSS.

Homes with Hope in Westport: Offers a food pantry where groceries are distributed Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 1 PM to 4 PM. Please see this link for more information: https://www.hwhct.org/food or call 203-226-3426.

The Freedberg Family Kosher Food Pantry (Jewish Family Service of Fairfield County): Offers Kosher food and personal care items. Financial eligibility required. Connecticut Food Share Mobile Food Pantry: Offers a mobile food truck of fresh produce and other items January through December. Macedonian Church of Norwalk Care Unit: Free non-perishable food distribution the third Saturday of every month at 12 PM. Please see this link for more information: https://www.macedoniachurchct.com/food-distribution/

Donations:

We welcome donations of non-perishables, gift cards and checks. Non-perishables may be brought into the building and placed in the shopping cart outside the food pantry door. Gift cards and checks may be placed in the secure lock box outside the lower side entrance to Comstock Community Center. Checks should be made out to "Wilton Community Assistance Fund". The Fund is a 501 c (3) tax exempt organization with a sole purpose of providing assistance to residents through the Social Services Department. Checks may also be mailed to the department at 180 School Road.
