Wilton and New Canaan Fire Departments Train Together at St. Luke's School

The Wilton Fire Department with the New Canaan Fire Department  completed four days of SCBA (air pack) confidence training evolutions.  All four shifts from both departments rotated through the Connecticut Fire Academy SCBA trailer (staged at St. Luke's School in New Canaan) in full turnout gear and air packs, working through low profile, low air and entanglement scenarios.   Our firefighters train on air pack use numerous times a year as required by OSHA.  Wilton and New Canaan respond to many fires together as part of written mutual aid compacts.   As such, training together, although difficult logistically, is worth the effort
