Vaccine Distribution Framework

Today, the Governor released a framework for the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines.  The State expects to receive 180,000 vaccines during this month, beginning on December 14th.  Anticipated distribution is as follows:

December:   Healthcare workers, Long-Term Care Facilities Residents and Medical First Responders.

January - May: Critical Workforce, Other Congregate Settings, Adults Over 65, High Risk Individuals Under 65.

June -December: Remaining Population over 18, Those Under 18.  Per the framework, clinical trials for those under 18 are just beginning.

Tree Lighting

Beginning tomorrow evening and throughout the month, Wilton Center will be bright with snowflakes.  Chief of Police John Lynch and Fire Chief Jim Lynch will light the tree on the Green. They will be joined by Wilton’s talented and newest Police Commissioner Adrienne Reedy.  This year, there isn't a live tree lighting. You can watch at 6:00 p.m. on the GoodMorningWilton website or Channel 79.  During the weekend, take a trip to the Center, enjoy the decorations and support our local businesses and restaurants.

Wilton In-Town COVID Testing.

If you subscribe to these updates through the Town’s e-alert system, tomorrow you will receive an email with a link for the sign-up portal for next Friday’s COVID testing at Comstock.  Testing will be performed by PhysicianOne and is for any residents aged 6 months and above.  The test is a PCR test and is administered indoors.  Insurance is not accepted.  Please sign up early as you can, as we must meet a minimum for the event to proceed. We recognize this may not be an option for everyone, but it is the option to allow for testing within Wilton.  Information on testing options outside of Wilton is available here

Please, behave as if you have the virus and as if those around you do as well.
