Coronavirus Update-Eat Local, Win Local Winners & Case Data

May 25th– Congratulations to Ann Dorman, Gail Latone, Ernie Ricco and Cindy Waters, Sunday’s winners of Eat Local, Win Local in Wilton.  My assistant Jackie will contact you about your prize. This is the last week to support a Wilton restaurant and enter to win. When you order at least $15 at a Wilton restaurant from through May 30th, 2020, take a picture of your receipt or a selfie of you and your order and email to sarah.gioffre@wiltonct.org. Please no more than one submission per day. Eat Local, Win Local in Wilton winners will receive a $25 gift certificate to a Wilton restaurant. 

CT DPH reported 99 new cases in Fairfield Country for a total of 15,213. A significant share of  the new cases were again in Bridgeport and Danbury.  Hospitalizations increased for a third day in a row. They increased by 1 to 233. Deaths in Fairfield Country rose by 6 to 1,221. Cases in Wilton decreased by 1 to 201.

Statewide, CT DPH reported 405 new cases for a total of 40,873, laboratory-confirmed cases, as of 8:30 p.m. yesterday. 224 cases have not yet been assigned to a municipality.  7,590 new tests were performed for a pandemic-to-date total of 221,726 in Connecticut.  Statewide deaths rose by 49 to 3,742.  Statewide hospitalizations increased by 5 patients to 706.
