Coronavirus Update-Return to Play-Conditioning & Case Data

September 3rd – The following are highlights from the CT DPH September 2^nd report versus the CT DPH August 31^st report: 

• Wilton: 2 cases.  (These cases were disclosed in my September 1^st update.)
• Statewide:  203 new cases. .78% of tests performed reported positive.
• Hospitalized Patients: Statewide, 9-net patient increase. Fairfield County, 3-net patient decrease.
• Deaths: Statewide, 2 deaths. Fairfield Country, none

At tonight’s Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Kevin Smith announced all high school sports teams have been approved to return to conditioning.

Detailed Case Data:

The CT Data Center reported the following or Wilton as of 8:30 p.m. September 2^nd and versus the dates prior to the start of Phase 1 and Phase 2:

• 250 cases, 43 additional since June 16^th and 50 since May 19^th.
• 3,722 residents tested, 2,572 since June 16^th and 2,972 since May 19^th.
• 5,135 tests performed, 3,683 since June 16^th .
• 42 deaths, 1 since June 16^th and 5 since May 19^th.

CT DPH reported the following for Fairfield County and Statewide as of 8:30 p.m. September 2^nd:

• 18,995 cases, 2,614 additional since 6/16      53,209 cases, 7,780 additional since 6/16
• 1,415 deaths, 63 additional since 6/16           4,468 deaths, 249 additional since 6/16
• 16 hospitalized, 52 less than 6/16                   65 hospitalized, 121 less than 6/16
