Wilton Updates COVID-19 Isolation Guidelines
The Town of Wilton will henceforth adhere to the new Covid-19 Isolation Guidelines that were released last Friday by the Centers for Disease Control, which have also been adopted by the Connecticut Department of Health. This updated recommendation states that those who have COVID-19 should stay home until they have been fever-free without medication for at least 24 hours, or their symptoms have been improving over a 24-hour period.
The link to the letter from the Department of Public Health Commissioner, Dr. Manisha Juthani is included below.
This official Covid-19 isolation recommendation is in line with the CDC’s guidance for managing other viral respiratory diseases including influenza and RSV. For any questions about these changes in Wilton, please contact Quaisha Andrews, MPH, RS, Wilton’s Assistant Director of Health/Sanitarian at the Wilton Health Department.
